Patterns of Evidence, is embarking on a new series of films focusing on the journey of the Israelites out of Egypt and the events on Mount Sinai. The first film of the series, The Moses Controversy, focuses on the question of whether the geographic descriptions of campsites, the sea crossing and Mount Sinai in the Exodus account were recorded by Moses as an eyewitness report, as the Bible claims.
Mainstream scholars claim that the Exodus account (along with the rest of the first books) were not written by Moses, but instead were ancient legends that became exaggerated over time that were not written down until a thousand years after the events of Exodus. If that were true, then what would be the point of searching for evidence of the route taken by the Israelites?
