The Land of Rameses

Exodus 1:11, says that the Israelite slaves built the store cities of Pithom and Rameses, which leads many scholars to tie the Exodus to the time of Pharaoh Rameses II.

HOWEVER, Genesis 47:11 uses the phrase “the land of Rameses” to describe the place where Jacob and his family settled.  This happened more than a century before the Exodus 1:11 reference.

Using the same logic, must the Genesis reference also be tied to the time of Pharoah Rameses II?
